Simple guidance for using ORISTONE aromatherapy oils safely, thoughtfully, and only as intended.

Safety First

ORISTONE gemstone aromatherapy oils are concentrated essential oil blends. Use a small amount, follow the guidance below, and keep the bottle closed when not in use.

Aromatic Use Only

Use for scent and atmosphere. Do not ingest, place in the mouth, or use in food or drinks.

Not for Topical Use

Do not apply directly to skin. These blends are concentrated essential oil blends and are not diluted in a carrier oil. The gemstone top is not a skin applicator.

Keep Away from Eyes and Delicate Surfaces

Avoid contact with eyes, lips, mucous membranes, fabric, leather, painted finishes, polished stone, and other delicate surfaces.

Use Less Than You Think

Start with fewer drops and add only if needed. Essential oils are highly concentrated, and a light scent is often enough.

How to Use

Choose one method at a time. Use in a well-ventilated space and stop use if the scent feels too strong or uncomfortable.

In a Diffuser

3–5 drops

Add to an ultrasonic diffuser filled according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  • Begin with a smaller amount
  • Add more only if needed
  • Use fewer drops in small or shared spaces

Shower steam

1-2 drops per corner

Place 1–2 drops in a shower corner away from direct water flow. Let the warm steam gently diffuse the aroma.

  • Start with one corner first
  • Add only if needed
  • Use less if the scent builds quickly

With Warm Water

1–2 drops / 500 mL

Add to about 2 cups / 500 mL of warm water in a stable bowl nearby for room scent.

  • Start with 1 drop first
  • Add more only if needed
  • Do not use for direct steam inhalation

As a Scent Moment

Open briefly

Open the bottle briefly and enjoy the aroma from a comfortable distance.

  • Close tightly after use
  • Keep the bottle upright
  • Keep the gemstone top away from skin and eyes

Method Details

Best for

A simple room scent for everyday spaces.

How to use

Add 3 to 5 drops to an ultrasonic diffuser filled according to the diffuser manufacturer’s instructions. Begin with a smaller amount, then add more only if needed to reach your preferred scent strength.

Keep in mind

Diffuse in a well-ventilated space. Essential oils are highly concentrated, so a lighter scent is often enough.

Use less when

Use fewer drops in small rooms, shared spaces, or whenever the scent feels strong quickly.

Best for

A short scent moment in the shower.

How to use

Place 1 to 2 drops in one shower corner away from direct water flow. Let the warm steam gently diffuse the aroma. If needed, repeat in another corner.

Keep in mind

Start with one corner first, then add only if needed. Too much oil can make the scent feel stronger than intended.

Use less when

If the bathroom is small, enclosed, or already very steamy, begin with the lowest amount.

Best for

A gentle room scent placed nearby.

How to use

Add 1 to 2 drops to about 2 cups / 500 mL of warm water in a stable bowl and place it nearby for room scent. For a larger bowl, begin with no more than 3 drops.

Keep in mind

This method is for room scent only. Do not drink the water or use hot steam for direct inhalation.

Use less when

If the bowl is close to your face, placed in a small room, or the scent feels strong quickly, reduce the number of drops.

Best for

A quick scent moment without setting up another method.

How to use

Open the bottle briefly and enjoy the aroma from a comfortable distance. Close tightly after use and keep the bottle upright.

Keep in mind

Keep the gemstone top away from skin, eyes, clothing, fabric, leather, and other delicate surfaces.

Use less when

If you are sensitive to scent, begin with a shorter, lighter scent moment rather than repeated or prolonged exposure.

Use Extra Care Around Sensitive Groups

Essential oils may not be suitable for every person, pet, or space. Use extra caution around children, pets, pregnancy, breastfeeding, respiratory sensitivity, allergies, or medical conditions.

Children & Babies

Keep all bottles closed and out of reach. Do not use essential oils on babies or children, and do not diffuse in a child’s room unless advised by a healthcare professional.

If swallowed, contact Poison Control or seek urgent care.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Consult your healthcare provider before using essential oil products during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Avoid use during the first trimester unless your provider specifically advises otherwise.

This is especially important for blends containing stronger aromatic ingredients such as rosemary, cedarwood, citrus peel oils, or other concentrated plant extracts.

Pets at Home

Do not apply essential oils to pets. If diffusing at home, use fewer drops, keep the space well ventilated, and make sure pets can leave the room freely.

Avoid diffusing around birds or pets with respiratory conditions. Stop use if your pet appears uncomfortable, agitated, weak, drooling, or breathing unusually, and contact a veterinarian.

Storage & Accidental Exposure

Store upright, tightly closed, in a cool, dry place away from direct heat, sunlight, and open flame. Keep away from children and pets.

Avoid storing directly on fabric, leather, painted finishes, polished stone, unfinished wood, or other delicate surfaces.
Wash the area with soap and water. Stop use if irritation, redness, or rash occurs. Seek medical advice if symptoms continue or worsen.

For citrus-containing blends, wash the area before sun exposure.
Rinse carefully with clean water. Remove contact lenses if easy to do. Seek medical attention if irritation continues.
Do not induce vomiting. Contact Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 or seek urgent medical care. Call 911 immediately for trouble breathing, seizure, collapse, or loss of consciousness.

Poison Control specifically recommends using the online Poison Control tool or calling 1-800-222-1222 after swallowing essential oil products, and calling 911 for severe symptoms such as trouble breathing, seizures, collapse, or inability to wake.
